tell the world that
sometimes i wonder if we sing songs of praise from our hearts or out of plain old tradition and ritual. if we really sing it with all that we have to offer, and each word in truly from the heart and meaningful. well....here are a few words that i wish i could say, that i wish i could carry with me everywhere...>>
don't want to stand here and shout Your praise
and walk away and forget Your Name
I'll stand for you if it's all I do cause there is none that compare to You
cause all I want in this lifetime is You and all i want in this whole world is You
tell the world that Jesus lives
tell the world that, tell the world that
tell the world that He died for them
tell the world that He lives again
no longer I but Christ in me
cause it's the truth that set me free
How could this world be a better place?
But by thy mercy and by thy grace
hillsongs united::tell the world that
so this is my prayer and hope, that my life would be given for this cause.

when i'm not broken
sometimes it's better to live in broken times than not to live at all. during the 6 weeks that i spent in kingston, problems overwhelmed me, and the busy lifestyle i chose to live never ceased to become busier and busier. but it was during this time that i could see God, cry out in anguish and truly pray with everything i had to offer.
now, coming back from a weekend filled with nothing but luxury, relaxation and enjoyment, i dare to say that my life seems out of place. sure, it was nice to be able to see fireworks on july 1st in Ottawa, to stay in a nice hotel, to have people serve you until you're all served out...but something isn't right in this picture. i could not get out of my mind the fact that there are so many people out there who still have not enough to even eat properly. sure, blame it on the live 8 concerts that was going on during my stay there, or the fact that i'm going to china and mongolia later this summer. but the thought that i am so lavishly spending on myself and indulging in myself naws at me like an annoying bug that won't go away. it grips my heart and it aches and aches. it's like sitting on a couch and having someone feed you while you wastingly watch tv and fill your brain with rubbish. was this weekend a waste of time? maybe. i know i should have spent less time complaining about others' imperfections and prayed for them more. i know i should have spent more time preparing myself to go on missions. my dad told me that over and over. but being the rebellious child that i am, each time that he would say that, i would NOT do that right after. goodness, how can i call myself a follower of God?
