i wish that i had enough time to do everything. i wish that i wasn't sick and tired all the time and that i didn't always begin to wake up at 12am. i wish that certain things would go away...that people would truly understand, or that i could communicate myself clearly for that matter. i hate being caught up in so many maniacal things in life. so swamped with distractions, sometimes i wish i could run away from all of it and just be by myself for a little while. maybe it's a matter of learning where to draw the lines in all aspects of my life, or maybe it's a matter of being real and finding that fine balance that i can never seem to find.

in the end

so i just spontaneoulsy decided to blog at 1:30am...i guess you could say that i'm kinda at a lost for words right now, but I can't get some of these thoughts out of my head.

it's homecoming. and homecoming at queen's means lame football games where we get owned really badly, the alumni come back & engineers slam their jackets. but above all, it means drunk and delirious people in altered states of minds. i just walked home from a friend's house, and on the way, we saw a bunch of ccfers...i guess in ways we have never seen before. yeah, drunk. it's one thing to see random non-Christians drunk, because I guess i've been conditioned to their indulgences, but watching my own friends waste their lives, do crazy things, and loose self control is something that just pains me so deeply.

on the way to campus walking a friend home, we talked about partying, drinking and all that jazz. we both didn't understand why ppl do it. sure, maybe it's good and it lasts for a few hours where you can completely let loose and do things that aren't "allowed" when you're sober. but after it all ends, what good does it do? does it lead you to an epiphany where drunkness is a desirable thing? i truly don't understand how ppl refuse to ask and seek something more than just temporary relief that is given through alcohol. maybe one day i'll understand what's so great about drinking, but all i can see is lives wasted in a desperate attempt to find something more.
